We tackle leather’s biggest problems holistically by considering everything from tanning steps to end user. We started with a complete reconfiguration of our tanning process that is focused on faster, more efficient natural production steps that utilize far less resources, allow far more stringent waste treatment and significantly reduced CO2 emissions and pollution effects.

- All S.R. Leathers receive our proprietary beamhouse enzyme treatment for removal of hair and oils from hides in preparation for tanning.
- In standard leather processing the beamhouse steps require high volumes of salt, lime, and time; after which all the waste is rinsed away using vast volumes of water.
- We developed a proprietary enzymatic process that requires no salting, no liming, no heavy rinsing, and a curing time of 9 hours.
